Soposup opened its doors nearly two years ago as the 1st dedicated SUP shop in New England. I had never worked in retail, had minimal capital to invest, and only a vague idea of how I was going to build this up...but what I did have was a firm belief that Stand Up Paddleboarding was here to stay, that it was a versatile, challenging sport with extremely broad appeal, and that I wanted to do this thing called SUP as much as possible.
The secret is out. SUP is fun and it can change your life for the better in no time. It has been a huge privilege to help so many people get into this new sport; to get them on the water the first time, to help someone discover the right board, to advise and watch as people caught their first waves or made their first crossing to a new island shore. Seth, Jill and I have taught hundreds of lessons and sold well over two hundred boards in the past 20 months. The people who work at Soposup live, eat and breathe SUP...its what we do when we aren't at work.
This fall we have reconfigured some of the space, getting rid of our surfboard inventory to make room for even more SUPs, adding a 4th rack and increasing our showroom display capacity to over 60 boards. No other shop in New England can match our selection. We are constantly evaluating our products, with the goal of bringing in the highest quality equipment possible, whether you place a premium on performance or cost. Above all, we are here to answer your questions with experience and honesty.
